PlanetSolar heading out into uncharted technical waters. The theory was in place, but nobody knew if this solar powered boat could make it. But they did!

Teamwork, vision and determination is what takes a project like the Elizabeth Swann from the drawing board, to launch.

The Crew (steering committee) of the Elizabeth Swann project have the experience and skills needed to oversee the development and implementation of the tasks that will culminate in attempts on the world water speed records for solar and hydrogen (hybrid) powered electric ships.

Major technical partners may become part of the yacht build and development, management structure as crew members. Major contributors may enjoin to plot a course to preferred international events, again at management level.

The Cleaner Ocean Foundation works to help protect the "seven seas" from the effects of anthropogenic atmospheric pollution like this ship that is belching diesel fumes like there is no tomorrow. We'd like to preserve tomorrow for our children. You can help us to make this scene a thing of the past.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

Because we can, and because we can, we must.

WHAT IS THE RECORD TO BEAT?

The current solar powered record holder is the Tūranor PlanetSolar, seen below. The Swiss-German team managed 5.3 knots across the Atlantic.
