Jakarta,
officially the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, is the
capital and largest city of Indonesia. It is located on the
northwest coast of the world's most populous island, Java. it
is the centre of economics, culture and politics of Indonesia.
Tanjung Priok has 20 terminals: general cargo, multipurpose,
scrap, passenger, dry bulk, liquid bulk, oil, chemicals and three container terminals, 76 berths, a quay length of 16,853 metres, a total storage area of 661,822 m2 and a storage capacity of 401,468
tonnes.
Jakarta is not hydrogen ready as we write, hence clean fleet operators will have to seek alternative handling facilities to comply with the IMO's 2040 target.
12TH LEG - At a speed of 13 knots the twelfth leg of the hydrogen powered zero carbon voyage would take just over six days to complete, free of emissions. The demonstration of ZEWT technology in action, could help speed up the transition to non polluting waterborne transport. These projections are only a guide. A RACE AGAINST THE CLIMATE CLOCK: The climate clock is ticking faster, speeding up global warming. Without hydrogen bunkering at ports and harbours it is more of a logistical challenge.
